Playbook Part 4.2 – Systems & Structure: Formation Examples
Structure, Style, Strategy – the LiberoUno way
Putting It All Together
This section brings the LiberoUno philosophy to life through a series of example lineups.
Each one has been built using the core principles outlined throughout the playbook — from the role archetypes and player profiles to positional balance and team structure. These aren’t tactical recreations of real-world teams, but illustrative examples of how the framework can be applied across different shapes.
There’s no deep dive here — the playbook has already covered the why. This is simply a space to see how everything fits together on the pitch.
That’s the Playbook
From philosophy to player profiles, tactical roles to positional structure, everything you’ve seen here reflects how I approach the game — a clear, consistent framework designed to bring both balance and identity to every save.
The systems shown represent the full range of formations I actively use within this philosophy. They’ve been shaped by years of trial, failure, and refinement — and they form the foundation of how I build squads, set instructions, and make decisions in Football Manager.
Of course, no approach is one-size-fits-all. If there’s interest in a formation that hasn’t been featured, I’m more than happy to take a look and show how I’d adapt the framework to fit. Just reach out via the button below or my socials and let’s keep the conversation going.
Thanks for reading — now, it’s time to write your own story.

You should now have everything you need to create balanced, effective systems using the Playbook framework.
But if you’d prefer to jump straight in, I’ve also created a Tactics Pack — a set of pre-built templates based on the principles outlined here.
